About Our Workshop

OUR HISTORY

Soho Furniture Services was established by Alan Stover in 1999 with a focus on providing skilled antique furniture repair services to the New York City dealer and design community. ProStrip Wood Finishers was started a few years later in response to the demand from general contractors and Brownstone owners for a source to provide stripping and restoration of interior architectural objects. Soho Pro is the merging of these individual companies in order to offer all our restoration skills under one roof. Our passion for working with classical artisan methods is what inspired us to open up our shop, and has resulted in a loyal following of clients working in a variety of creative and contracting fields.
